Describe the instructional activities that will occur prior to the SRS
Activity and how you will introduce the SRS Activity: The student
response activity will be used to review for a test. My students were
introduced to 15 new contrations. I have created a quizlet for them to
review. All the words on the quizlet will be on the test. I have asked
them to access my quizlet to study.

session
SRS Activity will be anonymous
Briefly describe what will happen during the SRS Activity (For example:
What will students do? What will teacher do? What materials are needed? How
long will the SRS activity take?):
The teacher has created the quizlet on contration words. The students will review
the words to prepare for their test. All the students need is the Internet and a
computer to access this activity. This activity will vary in time depending on how

Short Open-ended
response or fill-in-blank
Longer open-ended response
Provide samples of questions/prompts to be given to students:
Choose the correct contraction: do+not= A)doesn't B)don't C)can't D)do not
Right/Wrong Answers: Will there be right/wrong answers to these questions? :
Yes
No
Mixed (Some will have correct answers, others will not.)
Immediate Corrective Feedback:
Will you pre-select correct answers to some or all of the questions and display the
correct response to the class after the SRS activity?
Yes
No
Why or why not? Since I am giving a test, I will write the correct answer if they
student gets it wrong. It is important for a student to know the correct answer
when he or she got the answer wrong.
Use of Data: What data will be collected as a result of this activity. How will it be
used and by whom? (For example: Will information collected from this activity be
used to award a grade? Will the individual information collected be shared with
students and/or parents to help them monitor individual progress? Will you
discuss the aggregate, anonymous data with the whole class to help them learn?
Will you use data to differentiate instruction for students? If so, describe how. )
Information collected from this activity will be used as a grade. The grades will be
shared with the students. I will use differentiated instruction for the students who
are visually impaired by recording my voice on the quizlet so they can hear the
word. I will aslo give them a test with larger words on it so it will be easier for him
or her to see.
Describe what will occur after the SRS activity: After the SRS activity, I will
test the students based on the contractions that were in the quizlet. I will then
give the students a grade and see where they are at with the contractions. I will
compare all the student's scores so I can see if I need to focus more on teaching
contractions.
Describe your personal learning goal for this activity. (For example: What
are you trying that you have not tried before? What do you hope to learn from
this activity? How do you hope it will help students learn? You must design
something that will help you learn something new! Honor System!) I have never
used quizlet, I have always made my flashcards by hand. I hope to learn how to
create flashcards that are very interactive and engaging for not only me but my
students as well. I hope this will help students learn because I believe that
repition helps with learning new material.
