Physical Education Common Assessments and Performance Rubrics

Directions for Administration of District Assessments

Assessment Background Information: The assessments and rubrics work began in spring 2013 as a part of
PSDs annual Summer Institute. There teachers from around the district worked together to create performance
rubrics and assessments that align with CDEs state standards in physical education. With the implementation of
SB 191 and teacher effectiveness, standardized rubrics and assessments will be used to measure student growth
and teacher effectiveness in physical education.
*Each document is a work in progress. They will be re-evaluated for administration as well as effectiveness at
the conclusion of the school year.
*It is an expectation that all physical education teachers in Poudre School District administer the common
assessments as well as performance rubrics. The results of these tests will be utilized to support SB 191.
