Why is nutrition important? Many people dont understand why nutrition is so important.
Nutrition is the process of providing or obtaining the food necessary for health and growth. Nutrition is
not only referred to as calorie intake, but also indicates the overall amount of each nutrient necessary for
the body to function appropriately.
Why is nutrition important throughout your childhood? Childhood is a time for critical growth in
which proper nutrition is absolutely needed. As a child proper balance of nutrients is critical for normal
brain development. The article Children With Poor Nutrition by Healthy Eating states that child who have
poor diets due to the lack of nutrients are prone to significant short-term and long-term health impacts and
diseases. Children with poor nutrition are at greater risk for obesity, mental and emotional health
problems and a failure to thrive academically.
Being nutritious is important to be of course because my overall health but also my body image.
My motivation for practicing proper nutrition is the affect it has on my body. A lot of people think that all
you have is lift weights or run to be fit. Nutrition and training go hand and hand. Why Is Nutrition
Important When Exercise Is Involved from Health Guidance states its because every food group serves a
specific purpose, and that exercise makes these purposes even more necessary when it puts strain on the
body and uses up energy.
