Dear Education/Outreach Director of The Downtown Streets Team,
I have acknowledged your work and would like to compliment you
organization because it is a very respectable thing that your
organization is doing for the homeless community. I admire your caring
society of members and I believe that your organization is doing an
amazing job of getting homeless people back on their feet. I have read
the stories of your website and they are very well described and
inspirational. I am writing to you because I would like to express my
gratitude by telling you how the communities that you have affected
had positively influenced me and to say some suggestions that your
organization may use.
Because of your movement, it has influenced me to participate in
many food drives where I donate canned food. My school, Del Mar
Middle School, has a competition on how many canned food a class
can get with their students. I believe this is foreshadowing a greater
future where people are freely trying to help the less fortunate and to
help the less fortunate get shown the right path to success. If more of
your kind of organizations grow to contribute to the cause, I believe
that there will be a day with very little amounts of people who are
homeless and needing a job.
From reading and watching about your organization, I have developed
many opinions and suggestions for the movement. Your organization
helps with people to find employment after homelessness and housing.
I would suggest adding a branch to the organization about preventing
homelessness by helping citizen who are in a bad state emotionally of
money wise. This branch can help also by helping to find jobs or find
other organizations that can loan money to the people.
Where I live, we are right next to San Francisco, and we have to drive
through the city once and a while, so I notice many homeless people
with shopping carts carrying their belongings everywhere. It is evident
that your organization in the Marin/San Francisco area would help this
community. There is a lot of panhandling in the city and your
organization is very effective to help these kinds of people. If your

organization enters our local society, it would help the city to be a

better environment for the citizens.
In conclusion I would like to thank your organization for what you have
done with the community. Your organization has inspired me to be
aware of the world and the homeless. Because of this I would like to
donate my own money to help your organization if that is possible. I
would hope that you could have my suggestion in mind for the future.
Also with your help in the San Francisco community it would be a great
contribution. I would appreciate it if your organization can send me tshirts or posters so I can spread your positive changes. Thank you for
