To Whom It May Concern,

It is a pleasure to write this letter of reference for Frances Connolly. I have personally known
Fran since 2003, we met during our transition into our associate nursing program. We then
moved on to working in the same intensive care unit at a level one trauma center where she
became a mentor to all. From there we moved on to agency nursing, and on to obtain our BSN.
After that we separated professionally, she continued as an agency nurse working in the
ICU/ERs of several different hospitals, then to her current position with Anthem and Graduate
school and I took a night supervision position and then on to my current position as a Clinical
Coordinator of an Emergency Room which Fran worked for a awhile as an agency nurse and
then per diem staff.
During this extensive period of time knowing Fran personally and professionally I can assure
you she is a highly motivated individual, who loves to learn. She then applies this knowledge in
her patient care, especially as an advocate for her patients.
I know that Fran would be an asset in the fast growing Nurse Practitioner community. I would be
happy to work alongside of her. She will bring skill and knowledge to your institution from her
previous and current work, which will allow Fran the ability to not only succeed but flourish.
Fran has nursing running through her veins and her patients of tomorrow will benefit from
knowing her and being cared for by her. Any hospital or practice that hires Fran will gain a
remarkable individual.
Sincerely,
Kimberly Goldup RN, BSN

Greetings!
Frances Connolly completed a clinical rotation as part of her requirements for a Masters degree
in Nursing from SUNY Polytechnic Institute. I am happy to share with you my impressions of
her abilities that she demonstrated during her time at our pediatric practice.
Fran clearly is accomplished in her communication skills, making children and families feel
welcome and at ease in her interactions with them. She easily adapted her style for each
situation, and was effective in diminishing stress, which can be high for children entering a
health care situation. She delivered patient education in a clear appropriate manner.
She came to this rotation with some experience in pediatric assessment, and quickly built a
knowledge base and demonstrated her ability to easily and correctly assess, diagnose and choose
the most appropriate treatment, and delivered the education necessary to ensure compliance with
the treatment plan. She also had several opportunities to see these patients in follow up, and
adjusted further care to ensure continued healthy growth and development.
I am extremely confident that Ms. Connolly possesses the needed skills and abilities to be a
successful Family Nurse Practitioner. She will be an asset to both the team she works with and
the organization lucky enough to become her employer.
Sincerely,
Mary E. Hannell, RN, MS, PNP
