Information

dISTRIBUTION:
thE DISTRIBUTION OF THE LINE PLOT ABOVE TELLS US ABOUT
THE DIFFERENCE OF THE smallest DOG COMPARED TO THE
biggest DOG.

Advantages
Some advantages that I found was that the line
plot shows a very good amount of data for our topic( 10
Types Of Dogs). Another good thing that I found about
the line plot is that it shows our collection of data
from least to greatest. The line plot is good for when
you have a large amount of data.
Disadvantages
Some disadvantages were that when someone is
coming to find some data when they see the line plot it
might not be pleasing to the eye. Also when you want a
line plot and only have a small amount of data it won't
look as nice as if you have a large range of data.
Advantages
Some advantages of the histogram is that it is very
easy to read because it has a vertical line with numbers
representing where the line ends. Another thing is that
when you have one type of data and another type of
data they are in a vertical line side by side. This makes it
easy for the person to compare which data has more.
Disadvantages
Some disadvantages are that if you have a large
range of data it is very hard to compact it into a
histogram. Another thing thats bad about the histogram
is that it is very hard to compare two histograms
together.
Outlier
The outlier of the frequency table above is 9. if you
take a close look at the table, you can see that the
bernese mountain dog is pretty big and weighs about 98
lbs. Now, when you see the small maltese, you can see
that it is only 9 lbs. the outlier of the table is 9.

BoxPlot

The ideal weight of half the dogs is at least how

many pounds?
The average of the chart is 42. You have to add it all,
then divide it by how many numbers there is.
Is using a box-and-whisker plot to find the ideal
weight of half the dogs a reasonable way to go
about finding that data?
The box plot above does not really help out with
finding the average. It tells us the numbers that are
used to make the box plot.
Line Graph
I wouldn't use a line graph for this type of data. We
have 10 types of dogs each with data that will fit on our
line graph. This means that if we use a line graph it will
be a big amount of data. When someone sees the line

graph it might not be pleasing to the eye. line graphs

can be used for many things. for example, It can be used
for surveys. if I'm asking for what's your favorite candy I
get a range of answers. This way people can tell what
the range of answers was.
