Guide
4th Grade
Maria Onorato
Project Description
A miniature alien just landed on Earth. He is absolutely
fascinated with the human body and wants to take a tour inside
a body. What will he see? What will he find there? What does
each organ do? In a PowerPoint presentation, groups of 3-4
students will create a travel guide of their bodies. This guide is to
include a map of the inside of the human body and information
on what there is to see and do inside the body. They will also list
prices for adults, children, seniors, and families. (Students will
determine how much percentage off the regular adult price the
discounts are). In addition to their brochure, each person in the
group needs to make a mold of an organ that people would see
inside their bodies. Finally, students are to create a jingle/song
for one or more of the organs that would make people want to
visit their body, as well as acting out how that organ functions.
Weekly blogs of progress, group work, and reflection are also
required. Projects will be presented to the class.
