Purpose of Interview 1:
What is the purpose of this interview?
The purpose of this interview is to construct a series of questions based on the formats we chose,
and to attempt to provoke an interesting reaction or response from the interviewee. The interview
allows us to collect information on the person we are interviewing and feed it back to the viewers in
a structured format.
Add research demonstrating the format of this interview (i.e. a magazine layout, or an interview
chat show on TV)

In what medium (audio, visual, written etc.) will the final interview be presented?
The final interview will be presented through a visual medium.
Describe how you are planning on contacting and liaising with your talent (interviewee)
I will be contacting my interviewee through a series of direct messages and phone calls to ensure
that I can arrange the interview indefinitely. When I arrange the interview I can mutually corporate
with my interviewee face to face, this will make the communication between me and the
Production Booklet
How will you make sure unnecessary sounds etc. are not recorded?
I will attempt to record the interview timed to avoid any disturbances to the room I am recording in.
I will be recording in the studio so I can make sure any persons do not enter the premises of the
recording area to create any background noises. By timing the recordings I can decrease the
chances of any disturbances to the ambience of the recording area.
If visual recording, explain how you will deal with any issues caused by ambient light.
We can experience some issues with ambient light such as over exposure or under exposure so
we must place the interviewee in a suitable position where we can control the lighting that the
camera will be picking up. We can deal with these issues by changing the position of the
interviewee to avoid unwanted light that will affect the interviews appearance.

Likely Response:
I believe that the soon coming films in 2015 will live up to
their expectations and be fairly good films that are good
competition with the films in recent years.
Next Question:
Initially Ryan Gosling, Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt were cast to play the main roles in
the new upcoming film Focus, what do you think of this unexpected decision from
the actors dropping out and do you think it was a good decision for the main role to
be replaced by Will Smith?
Likely Response:
I believe that the change was a good idea because Will
Smith had a very appealing audition for the main role and
he is enthusiastic about leading in the film.
Next Question:
The film Focus is critically acclaimed to be one of the best blockbuster hits of 2015,
does this place too much pressure on Will Smith and could this eventually be a
peak project in his recent career.
Likely Response:
Will Smith is likely to continue being a leading man in huge
films released all over the world and it is possible that
eventually a lot of heat will be placed on Will Smiths
acting.

Hello, and welcome to Medialink.
Today we will be covering the
Upcoming films and red carpet events,
I will be talking to media students
About the latest issues and topics.
We will be talking to Harry who is
Live in central London, and Charles
Who will be discussing the controversy
Around the Oscars and finally we will be
Closing our programme with Joe discussing
The best films of last year with
A film studies student.
But firstly Im joined today by
Will Farman to discuss the
Events surrounding red carpet
Events.
Hello, Will. Firstly lets
Start off talking about your
Opinions on the topic. Based on your knowledge
of the industry. Do you think that the anticipated
films coming in 2015 will be considered as
successful projects, both for the actors
and the industry of film, and why?
Moving onto the topic
Of the upcoming film, we will
Now talk about the actor roles
Of the film. Initially Ryan Gosling,
Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt were cast
to play the main roles in the new
upcoming film Focus, what do you think
of this unexpected decision from the
actors dropping out and do you think it
was a good decision for the main role
to be replaced by Will Smith?
Onto the topic of success,
The film Focus is critically
acclaimed to be one of the best
blockbuster hits of 2015, does
this place too much pressure on
Will Smith and could this eventually
be a peak project in his recent career.
Now we go over to Harry reporting live from Leicester square from the focus movie
premiere.
(HARRY)
Thanks Kaan.
Hi everyone and welcome to the focus movie premiere!
I am joined today by the wonderful Will Smith.
Will how are you?
Now we know that you first began as a music producer and rapper, did you ever think
that you would one day become an actor?
So for people that dont already know about focus, could you give us a quick
explanation of the plot?
I saw that you werent the first person to be picked for the main role (Nicky), you
were actually the fourth. How did this make you feel? Did this have any effect on your
decision?
During the production of the film, did you ever feel under pressure to do anything or
were you fully in your comfort zone?
Production Booklet
And finally are there any future productions that we will look forward to seeing you
in? Will, its been brilliant chatting to you, I wish you all the best.
Back to the studio now where we have Charles with his expert discussing the topic of
controversy around the Oscars.
(CHARLES)
Hello welcome to the show. The past few months have been stirred up about the recent
controversy in OSCARS and how Black actors havent been involved enough (Transition to
clip of new paper headline) which I will be talking to Andrea Walters about.
So Andrea, I understand youve been a Film Studies teacher for over 10 years now. You
must have a huge knowledge of the film industry. Did you get a chance to watch the
OSCARS?
