U.S. Army, Active Duty 2000 Present. Current Rank: Major, 2008. Key assignments include:
First Army Rock Island Arsenal, IL 2013 - Present
First Army is the Armys responsible agent for training, validating, mobilizing, and deploying the US Army Reserves
and Army National Guard forces in support of National Security requirements.
IT Plans and Operations Chief Conducts strategic IT planning, training development, and exercise oversight.
Coordinates for IT training resources and equipment requirements for over 15,000 mobilizing reservists annually.

Developed technical solutions to provide low overhead IT training to National Guard units, resulting
in 50% cost savings for conducting simulation exercises.

Solved systemic challenges facing reserve components to maintain IT training proficiency within
significant time constraints
67th Expeditionary Signal Battalion Fort Gordon, GA 2011-2013
67th Signal Battalion deploys on order to support high-level command secure communications anywhere in the world
with email, secure phone, VTC, web access, collaboration tools and other IT support requirements.
Executive Officer Served as second in command of a 520 person organization tasked with maintaining a 24 hour
nation-wide contingency response capability to provide communications capabilities to national contingency reaction
forces. Responsible for overseeing training, plans, operations, human resources, security, and logistical support for
the organization.

Developed a qualification program for communications teams that was adopted across the Army

Recognized by the Commander of the Department of Defenses Chemical, Nuclear, and Biological
Response Force for outstanding support
Officer Education Division Fort Gordon, GA 2008-2011
The Officer Education Division is responsible for providing institutional training to the Armys communications officers.
Primary focus is on teaching new Lieutenants how to be communications officers and to teach Captains to lead
organizations of up to 200 people.
Officer Education Division Chief Oversaw the execution and development of 17 different technical programs of
instruction, including the Signal Basic Officer Leader Course, the Signal Captains Career Course (SCCC), and the
Pre-Command Course, among others.

Established new training course to cover the latest IT systems in the force in depth

Developed a new Community of Purpose (S6.army.mil) adopted by the communications regiment


for all communications officers across the Army

Initiated an accredited Masters program in coordination with Websters University to run concurrent
with SCCC for communications Captains.
2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division Korea/Iraq/Fort Carson, CO 2003-2007
2nd Brigade Combat Team was a 3500 person organization tasked with carrying out missions as directed in support of
the Global War on Terror.
Chief Information Officer Maintained the organizations communications networks and servers. Conducted
change management, new capability roll-outs, network security oversight, and quality of service management.

Conducted fieldings of new generation systems and built new networks from the ground up in a
spartan environment.

Designed and installed the surge networks to accommodate the surge in East Baghdad in 2007.
