Start the lesson with a brief introduction to ISTE NETS-S and
each of the 6 standards for students. Students can give

Creativity and Innovation- Students demonstrate creative thinking and develop a product using technologies. a. They apply their existing knowledge of MLTI software (Photobooth, iPhoto, GarageBand) to generate new ideas. b. They create an original work as a means of personal and group expression. 2. Communication and Collaboration- Students use digital media and environments to communicate, via VoiceThread and work collaboratively to send the message. They contribute to each others learning. a. Students interact with each other, collaborate and publish the VoiceThread together. b. They use a variety of media sources (PhotoBooth, Google Images, iPhoto Lbrary,) to effectively convey the. 3. Research and Information Fluency- Students applied digital tools to gather and use information. b. Students learn how to ethically use information from a variety of sources and media. Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, and Decision MakingStudents use critical thinking skills to plan and manage projects and make informed decisions using appropriate tools and resources. b. Students plan activities to complete a project, the VoiceThread. When there are many students in a class, have them quickly divide into groups. One group watches a Creative Commons video and searches their site for applicable photos. A group can search our RLRS photo bank for photos of local things. One group can go outside to take photos of the school for the project. One group records video and pictures on PhotoBooth.
5. Digital Citizenship- Students practice legal and ethical
behavior. a. Students practice legal and responsible use of information and technology. This project might be viewed by the public, so a group of students should check to see that permission has been granted for each student to appear publicly. We only use or create our own material in effort to be in compliance with the school's Copyright Policy. 6. Technology Operations and Concepts- Students demonstrate a sound understanding of technology concepts, systems, and operations. b. Students demonstrate knowledge of which applications and software would assist in the creation of the VoiceThread. d. Students in transfer their current knowledge of MLTI software and applications, use of digital equipment, organization and time management skills to learning the new technology of the VoiceThread.
