Meeting Minutes

Call to order
A meeting of the Grand Haven Croquet Board of Directors was held at Creekside on 2/23/15.. Attendees
included Cassandra Gaisor, Tony Dos Santos, Bill Todd, Naomi Mass, John Fitterman, Frank Benham,
Y vonne Croizer.
Member not in attendance Rich Burns.

Approval of minutes
The Minutes of the January 19, 2015 Board meeting were approved.

Reports
Treasurer - Bill Todd - Opening balance was $11,736.10 & closing balance is $11,599.87.
President - Cassandra Gaisor

The President expressed some disappointment that with such a large Club, more members were
not willing to serve their Club in a leadership position.While very reluctant to serve a third term,
the President is considering it and will give her answer to the Nominating Committee prior to
the next Board Meeting on 3/9/15.
A discussion took place about the Annual Meeting on April 14, 2015.
A discussion took place about the bylaws being quite clear about wearing all white clothing.
The Valentine's Day event was successful, even though there were a few drop outs due to the
cold weather.
Dan Oakley from Oakley Woods will be visiting Grand Haven on 3/19 & 3/20. It is an
opportunity for players to ask questions and, hopefully, get answer about croquet mallets.
There is a change in the Handicap Committee. Gabriella Tuscano will be replacing Tony Dos
Santos. The other two members, Cass Gaisor & Rich Burns remain in place. This committee will
be meeting again in March.

Vice President - Tony Dos Santos

ByLaws - Frank Benham reported - No Bylaw changes at this time.

Nominations - Naomi Mass reported that there weren't any applications submitted for the
position of President and Cassandra Gaisor will give an answer to the Board on 3/9/15 as to her
intentions. The sitting President has served two terms so would ordinarily have to step down if
anyone else had chosen to run. However this did not happen, the sitting President (as described
by the ByLaws) can be asked to serve a third term if he/she is willing. The Vice President,
Treasurer, and Secretary have all agreed to serve another term since no one has submitted
applications for these positions.

Logo Wear - Linda Dos Santos has delivered all logo wear and name tags to Club Members.
Sunshine - Nothing to report.

Grounds & Equipment - Gregg Brown repainted stripes on one set of balls. He's not sure how
well it will hold up.

Director's Reports

Membership - John Fitterman - Total membership is 95. Due to the pending restoration of the
court, no spring beginner's classes have been scheduled. However, the Membership Director did
say he would schedule a class if there were enough interested people.
Social - Y vonne Croizer - received a menu & pricing from the Golf Club for the Annual Dinner.
Both the menu and pricing were unacceptable. Yvonne & Cassandra will visit with the Amenities
Manager to discuss their menu and pricing for the Annual Dinner. The date for the Annual
Dinner is May 2, 2015.

Insurance - Naomi Mass - The Club's Insurance Policy is still under review.
