Report (10% of the Module Score) Relevant ILOs: (2, 3, 4, 5)

Preface
This report is intended to acquaint students with the general knowledge of the
standards of a particular electronic and/or communication device. Each student should pick a
device or a product and search for its history of implementation and manufacturing and the
development of its related standards. The standard evolution and modification with the timeline
is of great importance. A comparison between different standards in different countries if any
is also of great importance. Futuristic outlook is also recommended to add from the student
perspective related to the advance in technology of the selected device or product. The
assessment of the report work is (10%) and the presentation and oral discussion of the report is
(10%).
The report would be an individual task. Each student will be asked to submit a report (12- 15
pages) and to make a presentation (20 minutes) to show his/her work.

Examples:
The selected topic for the report may be, but not restricted, on one of the following:
1- TV and broadcasting
2- Modem Equipment
3- CRT and TV screens.
4- Hard Disk and Magnetic storage media.
5- Image formats
6- Wireless technology
7- Mobile (cellular) phones.
8- Radiology modalities.
9- Etc..
The report should contain a cover page, abstract and keywords, a table of contents, a list of
figures, introduction and objectives, product description, a report body, a conclusion, and
references.
Deadline for registration for a particular topic is t h e e n d o f t h e s e c o n d w e e k . Deadline
for submitting the report is the 11th week. Presentation and discussions will be scheduled then.
