    Welookedatthedevelopmentofcountriesandtheagedistributiononhowsome
    countrieshavemoreyoungpeoplethanoldpeopleandotherswiththeopposite,and
    basedonhowmanypeoplethereareinacountryitcanchangetheirlevelof
    development.
    Thepopulationofacountryisalwayschangingduetomanycharacteristicsaffectingit.
    Someofthesefactorsarepeoplebeingborneverydayaswellaspeopledyingtheseare
    knowascrudebirthrate(CBR)andcrudedeathrate(CDR).Anotherfactoris
    immigrationvsemigration;immigrationiswhenpeoplefromoutsidecountriesare
    cominginsideandforemigrationiswhenpeopleareleavingthecountry.Dependingon
    thecountryitcanaffecttheeconomy/countrydifferently.Intodayspresencethe
    populationisalwaysfluctuating,asofnowitisonasteadyrise.Theworldpopulationas
    ofnowisatabout7.1billion,andoverthenext30years,evaluatorssayweshouldreach
    approximately911billion.Accordingtosomeprofessorsstudyingtheworldpopulation,
    9billioniswheretheybelievethepopulationwillplateauduetothefactmanycountries
    arereachingtheircarryingcapacity.Theamountofchildrenfamiliesarehavingthese
    daysdependsonthelevelofdevelopmentyourcountryhas.Lestdevelopedcountriesdo
    nothaveaccesstobirthcontrolandcontraception,sotheyharehavingmorechildrenand
    theirpopulationisincreasing.Inmoredevelopedcountries,liketheUnitedStates,weare
    highlyeducatedandhavebetterbirthcontrolandmedicaladvancementssopopulationis
    startingtostabilize.
    Whenweswitchedourfocustomigrationwelookedatgravitymodelsorwhatforces
    peopletomove.Welookedatthepushandpullfactors;forpushthatdescribeswhat
    pushespeopletomoveoutofalocationandforpullthosearethefactorsfromthenew
    locationorpossiblelocationswhichmakepeoplewanttomove.IntheUnitedStatesyou
    canlookatdifferenttypesofpeopletoseetheirmovementstonewplaces.Some
    differenttypesofmigrationisforced,voluntary,cyclic,periodic,transhumance,and
    nomadism.Forolderfamiliesorpeopletheyarestartingtomovesouthortorural
    communitiesandfortheyoungersinglepeople,theyaremovingtourbancitiesand
    lookingforalivelierlifestyle.Peoplealsomoveinternationally,interregionally,notjust
    intraregionally.
    FromlookingatpopulationandmigrationinUnit2,Ihavebeenabletolearnmoreabout
    howthepopulationoftheworldworks.Lookingatdifferenttypesofshiftshashelpedme
    learnthemovementofhumansintheUnitedStatesespecially.Also,Icametorealize
    howcountriesbecomeoverpopulatedandwhattheconsequencesareforthat.The
    vocabularywelearnedthischapterareonesthatIwilluseinmylifeorfutureinschool
    orintheworkforce.Worldpopulationissomethingthatisalwayschangingandwill
    intriguemebecauseitconnectsdirectlytousandourdailylives.
