Day of Prayer is a global ecumenical movement which brings Christians of many traditions together to observe a
common day of prayer each year.
WORLD YOUTH DAY 2016 SPECIAL INFORMATION EVENING
The next WYD, will be held in Krakow, Poland from July 26-31, 2016, with Pope Francis and youth from all over the
world. It is open to young adults wanting to take part in a festive encounter centered on Jesus. It offers a unique way to
deepen your faith and grow closer to Christ, by means of prayer and the sacraments, with other young people who

LENTEN SPIRITUAL RETREAT with Alex LaSalle
The adult faith formation program of the SAINT JOHN PAUL II PASTORAL UNIT offers a spiritual retreat this year for
the Lenten period. Under the guidance of spiritual masters and teachers like St. John Cassian, Lorenzo Scupoli and Fr.
Robert Barron, we will meditate upon the 7 deadly sins and the ways to fight against them victoriously. Our Lenten
retreat will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 844 Notre Dame, St. Lambert. We will meet at 7:30 pm on
Monday, February 23, March 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.
ORGANIC FAITH SERIES / LENTEN BIBLE STUDY with Tom Foroglou
Please join us for a 3 part series focusing on the gospel and epistle readings of the 3rd and 5th Sundays of Lent as
well as the resurrection account of Easter Sunday. We will have an opportunity together to deepen our understanding
and appreciation of the most powerful and poetic passages of scripture that form the foundation of Christian theology
and faith. Our Lenten bible study will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 844 Notre Dame, St. Lambert. We
will meet at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, March 4th, 18th, and April 1 st.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COUNCIL 5901 CHRIST THE KING - ST. PATTYS DINNER DANCE
The Knights of Columbus council 5901 Christ the King will be hosting a St. Patty's dinner dance on Saturday, March
14th, in St. Mary's parish hall (735 Rue Miller, Greenfield Park) from 6:30 pm to...?! Ticket prices: $17.00 Table
reservations possible. Buy a whole table for 8 and get 8 tickets for the price of 7 (i.e. buy 7 and get 8th ticket free)
Music, dancing, Irish beers, and of course good Irish food! This is the first Knights of Columbus St. Patrick's dance. We
are the only Saint John Paul II Unit - wide non-parish based organization. Our members come from different parishes
in the Unit. The dance is an opportunity to socialize with people from other parishes in our Pastoral Unit. Contacts for

EVENING OF REFLECTION: MUSIC
Those who sing, pray twice. All musicians, choir members, and everyone else are invited to an evening of reflection on
the meaning and spirituality of music. Bring your singing voices so that we can give praise to God who created this
gift. This evening will take place on Tuesday, March 24, 7:30pm at St. Marys Parish, Greenfield Park.
EVENING OF REFLECTION: HOSPITALITY
You may have entertained angels without even knowing it. All members of hospitality ministries (greeters, ministers of
welcome, ushers..) are invited to an evening of reflection on the meaning and spirituality of hospitality. This evening
will take place on Thursday, March 26, 7:30pm at St. Marys Parish, Greenfield Park.
IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF ST. PAUL
In response to the Holy Year dedicated to St. Paul (2008-2009), you are invited to a pilgrimage following the path of St.
Paul in Greece. October 18-31, 2015. A pilgrimage is an opportunity for prayer, reflection of scriptures (Pauls letters), a
closer look at the person Paul and the celebration of the Eucharist, reconciliation. For more information contact

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION
HOLY CROSS PARISH - The adoration of the Blessed Sacrament takes place on the first Tuesday of each month
following the rosary which starts at 7:30 pm. For anyone joining for the adoration, it generally starts around 8:oo
pm and it lasts 30 minutes. Holy Cross Parish is located at 765, Pierre Pich Street, in Boucherville.
ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI PARISH - On the first Thursday of the month, right after the 9:00 am mass, the Blessed
Sacrament is exposed for about 45 minutes and the Blessed Sacrament is also exposed for silent adoration on the
last Saturday of the month, from 7:30 to 9:00 pm (until May 30). St. Francis of Assisi Parish is located at 844 Notre
Dame Street, in St. Lambert.
ST. MARY'S PARISH - Each Saturday morning, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am, the Blessed Sacrament is exposed.
Also, on the first Friday of the month, mass is celebrated at 9:30 am. After mass up until 4:00 pm, St. Mary's Parish
gives to all the faithful the opportunity to adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. St. Mary's Parish is located
at 125 Grove Street, in Greenfield Park.
LA MAISON DE PRIRE NOTRE-DAME - The sisters from the Congregation of Notre-Dame CND open their quiet
and prayerful chapel, in the Maison de prire Notre-Dame, to all the faithful who wish to spend some time in a heart-toheart conversation with Jesus. The chapel is located at 180 De Normandie, Longueuil, and is open every day, from
9:00 am to 9:00 pm. To make sure the chapel is available for prayer, you can call: 450-674-4884.
ST. FRANCIS XAVIER MISSION, Kahnawake - Benediction and Adoration on the last Sunday of each month from
3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
TRIDUUMS: APRIL 2ND, APRIL 3RD, APRIL 4TH
The Triduum is a beautiful Liturgy, spanning three days, Holy Thursday to the Easter Vigil. Each segment of this one
great liturgy touches on a different dimension of the saving work of Jesus. You are invited to live the Triduum with
passion, taking part in the full liturgy. This year we are trying something new. Come and experience it with passion!
