The imperative mood is a verb form which makes a command or a request. The imperative mood
also occurs in sentences that express the following situations:
1. Grant or deny permission (Do not take the car out tonight.)
2. Make offers (Come to my party!)
3. Apologize (Excuse me)
4. Well-wishing (Have a good day!)
We usually use the second person (plural or singular) with an unspoken "you" for the subject.
Examples:
1. Come in!
2. Shut that door.
3. Stop the bleeding.
The exeption to the use of the second person is when you want to include yourself in your
suggestion, here we use "Let's ....".
1. Let's go to the pub.
2. Let's eat something, we are all hungry.
