Meeting Minutes

Call to order at 1:00pm on December 8, 2014

A meeting of the Grand Haven Croquet Board of Directors was held at Creekside on 12/8/14. Attendees
included Cassandra Gaisor, Bill Todd, Naomi Mass, Rich Burns & John Fitterman. Members not in
attendance included Tony Dos Santos & Y vonne Croizer.

Approval of minutes
The Minutes of the November 10, 2014 Board meeting were approved.

Reports
Treasurer - Bill Todd - Opening balance was $12,689.75 & closing balance is $12,321.06.
President - Cassandra Gaisor

Problem with breaking balls was discussed and will be taken up with the Clubs supplier.
Monday Games for Higher Handicaps will continue
The Creekside Court looks good after the over seeding.
A Standing Rule will be formulated at the next Board meeting to address the attendance of
Immediate Past Presidents at Board Meetings.
The Saturday Holiday Socials were extremely successful with 33 members in the morning games
and over 60 members & guests attending the dinner Saturday night.
The Clubs Liability Insurance Policy is being reviewed by our Secretary.
The Club donated two children's bicycles to the Big Red Box.
Elections and the Annual Meeting are set for Tuesday April 14, 2015.
The date for the Annual Dinner has been tentatively set for the week of May 2, 2015 so as to not
conflict with the Fosse Tournament.

Vice President - Tony Dos Santos - not present but submitted report in writing.

Y vonne Croizer wants to thank Ginny Legge for opening her home for the Holiday Party and that
a number of new members have offered their homes for future socials. Future Saturday games
etc. are being discussed with George Betz.
A new storage box was put at the Creekside Gazebo to house newer and less used equipment.
There will be 3 keys available in the possession of: The President, The Grounds & Equipment
Chair, and the CDD office where it would be accessible by any Board Member.
Bylaws Committee - nothing to report.
Nominations Committee - nothing to report.
Logo Wear Committee - nothing to report.
Sunshine Committee - Janet Carlson sent a sympathy card to the Kaufmans, for the passing of
Orin's mother, Vivian.
CDD staff Christmas Gifts will be presented to them on or about December 15, 2014.

Director's Reports
Membership - John Fitterman

Total membership is 95.

The Fall Beginner's class produced 8 new members.
The determination of a Spring Beginners class date is on hold until the date of the renovation of
the Creekside Court is determined.

Tournaments - Rich Burns

Pending the renovation of the Creekside Court in the spring, we will again be scheduling the
Invitational Tournament for some time in the fall. October is the present target month.

The Club Championship is still on hold, again pending the renovation of the Creekside Court.
