I am writing this letter to recommend one of my teachers, Cindy Elizondo. Mrs.

Elizondo is currently teaching sixth grade at Rick Schneider Middle School and
has been a part of this staff for the past nine years. Mrs. Elizondo has spent the
past two years teaching sixth grade Bilingual English Language Arts and Reading
(ELAR) and taught fifth grade Bilingual ELAR and one year self-contained seven
years prior to that. For the past two years, Mrs. Elizondo has also served as a
team leader for her sixth grade teams.
During her teaching career, Mrs. Elizondo has grown from a long-term substitute,
new teacher, to an experienced teacher and team leader. Mrs. Elizondo has
proven to be resourceful teacher, continuous learner, and campus leader. Mrs.
Elizondo has provided positive leadership in a variety of ways on our campus.
She served as our Komen Campus Race Chair in which our campus placed first or
second in raising funds for six years. In addition, Mrs. Elizondo has chaired our
Safe and Civil Schoolwide Foundations Team, and she currently serves as a Team
Leader. Mrs. Elizondo has been our yearbook advisor, served on our Site Based
Team and helped our Courtesy Committee increase a positive school climate and
culture. Mrs. Elizondo serves as acting Assistant Principal if all three
administrators need to be out for a school day. Mrs. Elizondo has consistently
demonstrated excellence in her leadership on these committees by leading her
group, completing necessary agendas, and following-up with needs and concerns
as needed. Mrs. Elizondo has consistently communicated with administration and
her committees and supports the vision of the campus through her leadership.

In addition to her leadership, Mrs. Elizondo is an excellent teacher and works

hard each year to transition our long-term ELL students and monolingual students
she teaches. Mrs. Elizondo is a positive and proactive member of her ELAR
Professional Learning Community and consistently seeks solutions and provides
support to her team.
Mrs. Elizondo is a hard worker, eager to learn, and has stepped up to provide
leadership at a schoolwide level consistently for the past six years. I believe that
Mrs. Elizondo would be a great assistant principal and is ready for this next phase
in her career. I know that she will work hard and will use her experiences to
continue to grow as an educator and leader. If you have any other questions
