Protein Synthesis + Genetic engineering
Do you know what genetic engineering is? Or do you know what risk it can cause? Do
you know how protein synthesis process works? What the affects that genetic engineering food
can cause? That there is a risk with genetic engineered food; is popular method for genetic
engineered real; and does protein synthesis involved with genetic engineer/modified food.
The way how to make a gene into the process of protein synthesis. The first step is DNA
copies one side of the strand, also happens in the nucleus. It makes mRNA (m=message), which
is called transcription. Second step mRNA goes to the RER/Ribosomes. The tRNA goes to the
RER/Ribosomes called translation. When all the strands match they make a protein. Thats how a
gene gets made into a protein.
One of the most popular genetic engineering methods is plasmid method. Plasmid
method is when they use a small piece of a DNA molecule (Amna). A fact is that genetic
engineering is just to make things to grow faster. The only reason that genetic engineering is
possible that scientists found out about what a gene is (Science). That is one of the most popular
methods for genetic engineering.
The process how plasmid works. Start off with a small piece of a DNA molecule (Amna).
That is the only thing that you need. First, put the DNA molecule in the container, also the
container that already has restriction enzymes (Amna). The enzymes will break the plasmids into
small pieces (Amna). That makes sticky. Sticky is to make a ring around the DNA molecule

(Amna). Then the plasmid enters the bacteria (Amna). That makes it where it can make first to
make to be a gene and gene makes protein. There is two other methods that are common they are
vector method and biolistic method (Amna). A little fact about vector method it is very different
than plasmid method (Amna). It uses different stuff, but it come out it be the same thing. The
second method is the biolistic. A little fact about biolistic method is that its totally different from
the other two methods (Amna). Biolistic method is also called gene gun method (Amna). There
are three different methods for GMO, but they all do the same thing. The methods have different
things about them that they use to make about GMO or proteins to make protein synthesis
happen.
There are tons of genetically engineered foods that pose a risk to human health. One risk
is growing genetic modified food. Example is in 2006, the U.S grew 53% of food as genetic
modified (Robin). After the reports there were tons of negative side effects. Second risk people
can die from modified food. Example in 1989 36 people die, also tons where disabled (Batalion).
Third risk it can make the U.S food goes down if the U.S did 100% genetic engineered on the
U.S food. Maybe 20% of the food maybe is good. Think about you eating modified food and you
get sick or die, what about the animals that eat the farmers food and tons of them are die of one
by one and it would mess up the food chain. Having genetic modified food has a risk of cancer
also (Batalion). On that topic its a 50/50 chance of getting cancer (Batalion). Another example is
that it can it kills forest life (Batalion). An example is it can harm other small families farms
(Batalion). There are several risks with genetic modified food and other effects.
Can see why believe that there is a risk with genetic engineer/modified food and also one
of the popular methods of genetic engineer food is plasmid method. The process protein
synthesis goes with genetic engineer/modified food. The risks are high for genetic engineer food.

It can mess up tons of things such as food chain, farmers, and etc... Protein synthesis process is
when a gene is made into a protein. Genetic engineer make things grow faster also make things
bigger. Genetic engineer food, protein synthesis, and risk all go together by cells, food, and life.
