PALAY-PALAY MATAAS-NA-GULOD NATIONAL PARK, SITUATED IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF TERNATE AND MARAGONDON, PROVINCE OF CAVITE, AND MUNICIPALITY OF NASUGBU, PROVINCE OF BATANGAS, AS PROTECTED AREA PURSUANT TO R. A. NO. 7586, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE NEPAS ACT OF 1992, WHICH SHALL BE KNOWN AS MTS, PALAY- PALAY MATAAS-NA-GULOD PROTECTED LANDSCAPE Upon recommendation of the Secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ~ ARROYO, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside and declare Mts. Palay-Palay Mataas-Na-Gulod National Park, situated in the Municipalities of Ternate and Maragondon, Province of Cavite, and Municipality of Nasugbu, Province of Batangas, as Protected Area, which shall be known as Mts. Palay-Palay Mataas-Na-Gulod Protected Landscape, subject to private rights and without prejudice to the rights of indigenous Peoples as provided for in R. A. Palay-Palay Mataas-Na-Gulod Protected Landscape shall be under the administrative jurisdiction of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and shall be managed in accordance with the provisions of the NIPAS Act. All contracts, permits or licenses’ for the extraction or utilization of natural resources already existing prior to this Proclamation shatl, subject to national interest, be respected until their expiration.
