Growing up on a family owned dairy farm has taught me to value community involvement. Working as a Registered Nurse at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital has proven to me that a small town hospital can make a difference in a small community. With the changes in insurance reimbursement, the health care reform, and advances in technology, health care has been and will continue to change tremendously in our near future.

involvement and personal growth throughout the community. I was expected to give back to the community when able, and to value the help of others when given. In Chenango County, health care is quickly growing as small communities need to have reliable health care close to home. Due to financial restraints, quantity of patient care is the reality; however, it is crucial as health care providers to never let quantity replace quality. Quality health care is a personal goal of mine as a health care provider, to not only be able to provide quality health care to my community but also partake on a larger level including political activities. After completion of SUNY ITs Masters program in Family Nurse Practitioner Studies, I hope to work in Chenango County, as a health care provider for Chenango Memorial, where I will incorporate new technology and health care advances to facilitate patient centered, quality health care.
