A Snowy Winter in New York

By Elton Camp
Way up in the northern USA
Snowfall continued many a day
Temperatures were brutal too
None melted when it was through
A foot today and two feet tomorrow
It continued to the residents sorrow
Houses hidden under mounds of snow
The accumulation had nowhere to go
Cities of Rochester and Buffalo
Had never seen it become so
The roads were choked and hidden
To stay home, they neednt be bidden
For nobody could get around
Not a snowplow to be found
Salt on roads wouldnt help at all
Because the snow continue to fall
But finally, springtime drew near
The road they were able to clear
Off the pavement none could slide
Snow was 15 feet deep on each side
