RESTRUCTURING AT FLEXCO

1) How do you think Flexcos worker will react to its changing organisational structure and the
strategies used to implement these changes?
Satisfaction of the employees will drop because of the change which is not very
conducive to them.

Now employees will have to be more active and independent so they are able to
attract and retain customers.

Flexco expected to continue to work for the parts of the old parent organization
but had been told that it would not be given preferred status in relation to other
providers

Employees may refuse to accept the new structure as it will be difficult for them to
adopt.
The performance of employees will get affected as their duties and responsibilities
will change.

2) How do you think these reactions will affect Flexcos ability to realize its intended strategies?
Worker will be less commitment to the work and will also suffer from burnout.
Flexco now have to decide the method of recruitment that they will follow and
provide appropriate training for employees so that they can adopt quickly
Decide upon salary structure. As all other things about employees job is changing
salaries also have to be adjusted according to it.

3. What recommendations would you make to the senior management of Flexco in relation to
the scope for and nature of HR strategies in this organization?
Focus on specific organisational issue like assessing current HR capacity, Forecasting HR
requirements, Gap analysis.
HR plans need to be updated on a regular basis as to meet unforeseen circumstances.
Benchmarks need to be set and measured over time to determine if the plan is successful in
achieving the desired objectives.

4. Would you suggest some other way of restructure Flexco and manage the Change process?
Employees should be informed about new goals, new policies.
Implementing new developed strategies with clarity: confusion among the employees
may take place in initial stage of restructuring. Proper defined job responsibilities of
all the employees, so that employees are clear on what are responsibilities towards
organization, so they can achieve organization goals more efficiently.
Employees should be allowed to contribute ideas though formal suggestion. Create
job involvement so the employees has better understanding of changes and get more
satisfaction.
