Soluble
When something can be dissolved in a solution like salt can be dissolved in water, salt is
a good example
Insoluble
The opposite of soluble when something can't dissolve in a liquid and makes the liquid
cloudy like sand
Solution
Mixture of two or more substances in which the molecules of the substances are evenly
distributed, like when salt and water have been mixed
Solute
A substance that has been dissolved
Solvent
A liquid that can dissolve a solute, water is an example
Evaporation
When you heat something up so the liquid becomes a gas, it can be used to separate a
solvent from a solute
Filtration
When you pass a solution through filter paper and the solid (if it can't fit through the
tiny holes) sits at the top
Chromatography
The process of separating dyes in inks by wetting paper with ink on it and letting the
water drag out the ink revealing the mixture of dyes found
Distillation

Where you heat a solution in a boiling flask waiting for it to evaporate and travel
through a tube surrounded by a Liebig Condenser with cold water coming in and out,
where it condenses into pure solvent
