LAN stands for Local Area Network and WLAN stands for
Wireless Local Area Network. This means that WLAN is safer
because there are no wires to trip over.

Advantage:
It is cost effective because you dont have to pay for the wires.
Disadvantage:
It is not as fast as a LAN because it is wireless.
