biscuits, pickles etc.

for news & info. But also for
entertainment.
4. Think in local idiom:- Coca cola-
Thanda matlab coca cola
5. Ensuring price compliance:- Coca cola panch Rs. Me.
6. Utilisation of PDS :- for Suger, Wheat, Kerosene etc.
7. Weekly haats,Bazaars:- About 47,000 haats held
throught out the country.
8. By Associating themselves with India:- Nokia has
designed a new cellular phone 5110, with the India tri-
colour and a ringing tone of “Sare Jahan se achacha.”
9 By Promoting Indian Sports Team:-
During world cup ITC have launched a
campaign “Jeeta hai jitega apna
Hindustan India India India”

My learning after visiting
small village (Vanpuri)
1. Small posters for branded product.
2. Free Sample for Retailer, not for
consumer.
3. Some time promotion via Van.
4. 3-7% discount depend on quality.
5. One shops have multiuses.
6. Most people buy the products on the
basis of word of mouth.
7. Advertisement of branded products on
TV.
8. Retailer influence the customer 40-45%
to buy the product.
9. Instead of giving change (Coins), they
give chocolates.
10 . At Haats many small shopkeepers
came over there. And they sell their
product to consumers
