They are then asked to discuss and make notes on their group
members research, sharing new information they had discovered in
their previous lesson.
Additional resources will be available through class blog.
Teacher will then ask students to return to their seats and pay
attention whilst garage band is introduced linking it to lifecycles.

Today you will be creating a song or rap about your groups animal or plant
lifecycle using garage band. You should aim to write 2 verses and a chorus
using a minimum of 2 instruments. All group members are expected to play a
role we want to hear all of your lovely singing voices! Make sure you include
information about your animal or plant. We have already recorded one for you
to listen to and be inspired by

Students will then listen to teachers recording on an animal lifecycle


through garage band.
Teacher will then ask if there are any questions regarding the aim of
the lesson

The teacher will then walk through the features of garage band by
projecting the i-Pad onto the projector
Features include:
Different instruments Keyboard, drums, guitar and microphone
How to record both instruments and voices
How to overlap different recordings
How to put effects over the recording

Students will then be asked if there are any questions regarding the
task and i-Pads will be handed out.
Teacher will inform students that they have 15 minutes to complete
the task

Once the time is up, students will sit in a discussion circle with their
recordings.
Teacher will then ask a group to volunteer to share their recording
Students will then be informed of the upcoming lessons and todays
relevance.

This aspect of learning about lifecycles will be assed by observing


students work and final song product
There will also be ongoing assessment in the topic of lifecycles
through a journal involving research material, videos, diagrams as
well as the song.
