EXERCISE 5:
Preparing a Personal Development Plan

I am more of an extrovert. I can get along dealing with people. It is my strength to

interact and speak to people. I also am fond of organizing things and events. Getting
things done and accomplishing tasks in a manner that challenges me. Often I spend my
time seeking for newer things and happenings. Being updated is important for me
especially in my pursuit of improving myself. But I dont disregard the truth that I also
stick to tradition. I have this tendency to play safe with the status quo but I do well with
routine demands.
Another thing is, I am not that outspoken and hesitation often gets in the way. I
also find myself getting easily distracted that I sometimes fail to be more determined
and persistent. Flustering is one of the many donts that I want to get rid of. But overall, I
am open-minded, intuitive and creative.
Knowing ones strengths is important therefore I manage to evaluate the areas in
me that needs improvement. First, I am much concerned with being content with fair
results. I should always see to it that I am able to do more than just doing my job. I
need to learn how to push myself all the more. Also, I need to learn how to freely
express my judgment and opinion more often. I find a need in trying to improve these
areas.
Being straightforward and more strategic is what I want to prove to myself. Being
keen and critical is also an addition to the list. With the little ability that I have, I know
practice and training is all I need.
