QHSE Procedures - Shore

The QHSE Procedures Shore describes the key shore processes to be followed by the various
departments in the shore office. All these shore procedures are described in the format called RACI,
which is a simple tool used for defining who should do what in an organization.
Following is a description of the term RACI:

R Responsible Personnel Who Does it

A Accountable . Final Decision Maker
C Consulted . Those involved in two way Communication Internally (before the
decision)
I - Informed . Those Receiving Information (One way communication and
after the decision)

In the RACI chart, the various activities in the process are described sequentially from top to bottom on
the left extreme column. The job titles of all personnel who will be involved in the process are given in
the top row. For each activity in the process, the personnel responsible, accountable (only one
person), consulted and to be informed are indicated in the chart. Where applicable, remarks and
company forms relevant to each activity in the process, are given in the extreme right column.
Additionally, the RACI also gives Work instructions specifically applicable to each office (SDC) and
records required to be maintained for the process.
QHSE Procedures Shore RACI charts are made under the following heads:
01) Running the Ship
02) Maintaining the Ship
03) Client Related
04) Managing Personnel Shore
05) Managing Personnel Ship
06) Accounting Procedures
