Goal #1
By April 24, 2014, I will have strategies for developing, nurturing and maintaining an inclusive
class community through individual, pair/small group based, and whole class exercises.
In keeping with an engaged thinker and ethical citizen, a good contributor to society requires a
good understanding of his/her self in order to relate to others. This also fits in with the school's
plan to "Walk Together" by ensuring that at least once a week, dedicated time is set aside to
work through and discuss things as a group.

Goal #2
By April 24, 2015, I will utilize strategies to build community between home and school by
opening the lines of communication to parents in a variety of ways.
For many parents, communication with the school might feel like it is limited to when their
child is bad, or during parent teacher interviews. This can often make the parent feel
distanced from the teacher, who is really and truly an integral part of the child's learning team.
My intention is to make the parent an active part of the learning team.
