Mid-Project Review

Outline the successes, failures, additions and/or changes you mad as you followed your
plan at the start of the project
In the initial stage of my EPQ, there have been both has successful points and constructivelimitations. The successes have allowed the project to advance swimmingly and have
provided a well-rounded vision. Meanwhile, there have also been limitations which have
been recognised and consequently, have helped provide a foundation in which the project
could advance. One success has been the progress made since setting a SMART target. An
initial target proposed the goal of beginning writing the dissertation by January, which has
since been brought back to November. This was consequent of the establishment of a
structure and rapid progress with cataloguing secondary research. The structure was later
adjusted to make the sub-content of the dissertation more relevant. Sourcing the relevant
reading material early than planned, allowed me to begin reading earlier and consequently
starting writing. Creating a clear structure for the dissertation, allowed me to plan.

'Outline your planned steps to complete your project'

In order, for the project to further progress it is essential that further reading is conducted
into the topics of: Consequences of a patriarchal society, Post-feminism and Raunch-culture.
Further reading would give me a thorough understanding of the content needed to address
the needs of the question. It is possible that proceeding in writing may allow for some
problems to be encountered. The main possible issue is going into too much depth and
needing to brief the dissertation. I will also have to finish conducting primary research and
plan a presentation that will be delivered at the end of the project.

'Your supervisor's main comments and advice at this stage'

At this stage of the project, my supervisor has given the feedback on the following. Successes' have
been made in. Firstly, the dissertation displays a strong development of ideas, giving the project a
clear structure. Secondly, extensive research from a range of sources has been collated, allowing for
the further project to further develop. To improve my project it was suggested to; test run my
questionnaire, complete my questionnaire, remain impartial throughout, provide more accounts of
music videos, rephrase some sentences, add references and use counter-examples

'Changes, clarifications or additions you have made as a result of your discussing with your
supervisor at this stage'
After receiving feedback from my supervisor, I have decided to carry out the following
changes. Firstly, I have decided to rephrase some sentences and replace some words to help
the flow of the dissertation. Secondly, I have started to add reference marks to allow easier
referencing at the end of the project. Thirdly, I have decided to add counter-examples, to
provide a contrasting argument.
