How would you explain Anti-Bias Curriculum (ABC) to a parent or caregiver?

I would explain to a parent that the goal of an Anti-Bias Curriculum is to introduce
children to the broad spectrum of culture and experience that exists in the world. I'd explain
that we want children to grow up understanding that there are diverse people, lifestyles,
perspectives and experiences so that they may better understand their own background and
identity as it fits into the broader picture. This helps to build positive self-concept by embracing
practices of freedom, confidence, empathy, and critical thinking.
