GORGEOUS
GOBRECHT DOLLARSGobrecht dollars are among the most
highly prized and recognized of all American
coins. The Simpson Collection of Gobrecht
Dollars, like all collections to which he turns his attention,
is one of the most complete groupings ever assembled and the
overall quality is unsurpassed. Of the eleven coins required for
this set, Mr. Simpson has all except the unique
Judd-61. All of the coins are Top Pops except
‘one, and three are unique Top Pops. Many
of the coins are exceedingly rare and, in
some cases, the surviving population
consists of as few as two collectible
examples. However, this set is just
the tip of the iceberg. Where many
collectors are happy to possess
even a single Gobrecht dollar,
Mr. Simpson has twenty-three,
including the aforementioned ten
silver issues, additional off-metal strikes,
duplicates, and even a Judd-84 struck over
an 1859 silver dollar. The Simpson Collection of Gobrecht Dollars:
