received, we put together a plan.
Summarize the relevant research and describe how it supports the plan's
curricular and professional development goals.

Summarize the plans major curricular and professional development

outcomes that are supported by research.
Based on our research on a similar plan, we found out about the plan put
together from Arkansas Department of Education. This one is done for the
years of 2008-2012. In terms outcomes, basically curricular outcome is to
keep up with the latest technology to offer our students. Once we have
that, Dove Science Academy is going to ask professionals to come and
train our staff members on how to use these technologies.
Describe and cite the relevant research that supports the plans outcomes.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools.
1. How is technology currently being used by teachers and administrators to
promote effective classroom instruction and school management?
Teachers are making use of all available technological devices during
instruction such as document cameras, overhead projector, smart board,
laptop computers, and database. Administrators are using their laptops,
iPads, cell phones, database to manage schools. They also enforce a
system called Raptor that informs and warns about the suspected identity
of the person before entering the building.
2. How is technology being used to provide powerful learning opportunities,
especially for special-needs students and students who required additional
resources to improve academic performance?
Dove Science Academy doesnt have any technology in particular for
special-needs students. Therefore, it is part of our technology plan to
search for technology dedicated for special needs students.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of

digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
1. How is technology being used by students in the library media center and
labs?
In the library, students are able to access internet for their research,
complete assignments, take AR quizzes, and check their emails. In the
computer lab, they are receiving computer class. In addition to that, some
students practice for Robotics competitions.
2. Is technology currently available to students during after-school hours?
Given that many school assignments require students to access
technology after hours, where will students access technology to complete
their work? Do they have access in their homes, in community libraries,
and/or at community centers?
Technology is available after hours but very limited. Students are able to
use computer and internet for personal use, after dismissal. Other than
that, students are given a chance to do their research during their
computer class. Many of them have access to technology, such as a TV or
a computer at home. The ones who dont have a computer with an
Internet access prefer to go libraries.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1. How are PLCs being used to ensure the quality and implementation of the
plan?
Our teachers meet by grade levels every week once during their planning
period to discuss effective ways of implementing technological software to
our curriculum.
2. What options exist to fund technology over time?
The only option currently is the state funds allocated to our school from tax
monies.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address
Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
1. What efforts will the library/media center undertake to prevent or deter
unlawful downloading or unlawful uses of legal/illegal file sharing?
Library personnel will join forces with the dean of students to remind students
about the consequences that result from the actions of that nature. Librarian will
have a session with the students on cyberbullying and illegal file sharing.

2. How is access to only appropriate educational online resources

accomplished?
It is accomplished with the help of filters used in our servers to prevent students
to get into inappropriate sites.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT

The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services
(Answer at least 4 questions for each subsection below)

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and

integration skills and needs for professional development.
1. How does your LEA regularly assess teachers and administrators
personal technology proficiency skills?
Teachers are observed by the administrators once in every semester and
are done a walkthrough quarterly. During those observations and
walkthroughs, one of the areas that teachers are assessed is their use of
technology. Administrators are not assessed regularly. However, we
would like to start implementing a self-assessment for our administrators
in terms of their personal technology proficiency skills.
2. Do teachers have the classroom management strategies to work with the
amount of technology actually available in the classroom?
Our students are very responsive to technology use in class. We dont
have any classroom management issues in the classes because of
technology. On the contrary, when teachers dont implement technology in
class, then they have a tendency to show management problems due to
ineffective teaching.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1. What professional learning will be available so teachers and
administrators can make informed decisions using data to meet individual
student academic needs?
Professional learning in terms of data will be made possible by the
designated personnel. They will be visiting teachers and administrators
and teach them how to read and understand the data to meet individual
student academic needs.
2. How will teachers and administrators be trained and provided on-going
support in the effective integration of technology into curriculum?
IT Manager will keep giving on-going on support for both teachers and
administrators to make sure that integration of technology takes place.

INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND

ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
