Experience
Leading all activities in a classroom of 20 students aged 4-5 years old. Experiencing solo and team
teaching responsibilities. Subjects taught but not limited to: Science, Reading, Math, Writing, Art, and
Handwriting, and other related Kindergarten Readiness Skills. Leading morning meeting/circle time.
Introducing learning through technology by use of computer related instruction as well as iPad/Android
apps to enrich learning experiences. Helping students to develop social abilities as they relate to real life
situations. Use of hands on manipulatives to enhance learning. Students are primarily Russian speaking
with instruction focus on improving speech and comprehension in the English language. Managed one
teacher assistant in the classroom to assist with activities and the care and safety of all children.

Taught in a 5th grade elementary school classroom. Experienced solo classroom responsibilities
for the safety and education of 13 children. Students are unique in that all students are 100% Native

Taught in a 1st grade elementary school classroom. Experienced solo classroom responsibilities for the
safety and education of 16 children in which some were special needs students. Taught all subjects
including but not limited to: Science, Reading, Writing, Social Studies, Art, Handwriting, and Social
Studies. Engaged in team teaching experiences with other 1st grade teachers for various lessons. Attended
weekly grade level meetings and monthly faculty meetings.

Smartboard: Fluent with use of SMARTBoard technologies and applications for the classroom;
including but not limited to Document Reader, SMARTNotebook, SMARTExchange, and use of virtual
manipulatives.
Music: Classically trained in clarinet performance for 7 years.
Spanish: Moderately fluent in the Spanish language both written and conversational, reading, and
writing; familiar with the traditions and culture of the Puerto Rican heritage.
