December 1, 2014 To whom it may concern: I am pleased to provide a letter of recommendation for Lisa Chee, who is currently a nursing student within the Associate in Science Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program at Kapiolani Community College with an anticipated graduation in December 2014. As the counselor for the KCC Nursing Department, I've had the privilege of assisting Ms. Chee for the past two years, when she began to enroll in pre-nursing courses at KCC in Spring 2012 and was subsequently accepted into the KCC ADN Program in Spring 2013. As the nursing department counselor and having worked with many students, I've greatly admired Ms. Chee's thoughtful perseverance as she worked diligently to complete the nursing program's admissions requirements. As a pre-nursing student, Ms. Chee worked steadily to complete the prerequisite and co-requisite courses for the KCC nursing program, ultimately balancing her commitments to school, family and work. Ms. Chee is currently in the final semester within the KCC ADN Program, ultimately enrolled in NURS 360 Health and Illness III (9 credits) and NURS 362 Professionalism in Nursing II (1 credit). Throughout the past three semesters, while enrolled in the KCC ADN Program, Ms. Chee worked diligently to complete her assignments relative to the nursing course lectures, lab and clinical practicum, and received positive feedback and remarks as part of the final evaluations for the clinical practicum segments within her nursing courses. Ms. Chee has also shared that after graduating from the KCC ADN Program, and while also preparing for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam, she plans to continue her pursuit of a baccalaureate degree in nursing at the University of Hawaii at Mnoa starting in the Spring 2015 semester If you have any additional questions regarding Ms. Chee, please feel free to contact me at 808.734.9274 or wesly@hawaii.edu. Sincerely,
