Overall Goal of Lesson:


To know the basic vocabulary on the classroom

Instructional Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students will:
1. Identify the objects in the classroom
2. Comprehend vocabulary
3. Apply his/her knowledge
4. Classify objects
5. Develop phrases
6. Follow instructions

114.22. Levels I and II - Novice Progress Checkpoint (a) General requirements.
(1) Levels I and II - Novice progress checkpoint can be offered in elementary, middle, or high school.
At the high school level, students are awarded one unit of credit per level for successful completion of
the level.
(2) Using age-appropriate activities, students develop the ability to perform the tasks of the novice

language learner. The novice language learner, when dealing with familiar topics, should:
(A) understand short utterances when listening and respond orally with learned material;
(c) Knowledge and skills.
(1) Communication. The student communicates in a language other than English using the skills of
listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The student is expected to:
(A) engage in oral and written exchanges of learned material to socialize and to provide and obtain
information.

Anticipatory Activity for Lesson:


Bell work make a list of five classroom supplies in English language and find their meaning in Spanish
Time allotted 10 minutes

Teacher Input/Lesson Activity:


Teacher will show the PowerPoint presentation to the students.
Teacher will say the words in Spanish and students will repeat them in Spanish.
Teacher will explain and introduce the activity.
Students will work in groups of four according to the activity instructions.

Modeling:
Teacher will model students the right way to do the activity.

Guided Practice:
Students alongside with the teacher will practice the activity in order to do it in the most correct way.

Independent Practice:
Students will do the activity by themselves while teacher will monitor their development.

Lesson Closure:
After activity is done, teacher will display a picture in which the objects belonging to the vocabulary
words are shown. Students will measure their accuracy by watching this picture.
