How will you introduce this activity? Write a specific statementI will introduce this activity during circle time. The children will gather in a circle and sit on a number in
the circle. I will then tell them that I have an exciting activity for them and thats when I discuss about the
activity and what we are going to be doing. I would talk about the materials and what we are going to be

doing with them. I would be telling them that we are going to make a family portrait. With a house and
how many members they have in their family.
List open-ended questions that the teacher could ask:
I would ask questions that relate to family. How many family members do you have in your house? How
many sisters? How many brothers? What does family mean to you?
Plan for Clean-Up and Transition:
I would let them know that they have 5 minutes left and then we are going to sing our clean up song and
while we are singing we are cleaning up at the same time. We will then have all the children wash their
hands and get ready for our next activity. In the mean time I will have them come to the carpet and I will
read them a story.
