Propaganda

http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/propaganda-parodies
Rhetorical Analysis:
This Solo Regiment was known for the Peoples Party of Loneliness, which is Korean
slang phrase. This propaganda was meant for people who spend too much time online
and not time during wartime. The size is small and there is not a lot of space. It has a lot
of dark colors of red and black, which could mean danger of a war in Korea. There could
be logos in this because it is reasonable and it convinces the reader to not go online as
much.

Rhetorical Analysis:
This picture is showing that someone should not want to be alone by using Hitler as an
example of someone that you do not want to be next to. The picture is vertical, which
could mean aggressiveness. The colors could mean danger by showing that Hitler is in
the picture. It represents ethos by showing how you should not trust being alone.

Rhetorical Analysis:
This picture represents that the people fighting in the war should not stop until all the
Japanese are dead. The picture has dark colors, which could mean danger and death.
There is no space and that could mean that this propaganda really has a meaning to it.
There is logos when the author uses a news article to prove that this is logical to do.

Rhetorical Analysis:
This picture could mean that if someone drinks this, that they could prolong death.
There is a lot of space, which could mean that the author is trying to prove a point to
drink this. There is not a lot of color and that could mean that the drink is the
primary thing. There is logos by saying The antioxidant power of pomegranate
juice because it is using logic.

This picture is saying that people should not risk their lives by jumping out of airplanes,
but should also not use tobacco products. There are a lot of bright colors and that could
mean that it is trying to prove a point. There are rounded shapes and that is safe. There is

Rhetorical Analysis:
This picture shows that women are just used to work in factories to help the men. It has
pointed edges and that could mean danger. There is not a lot of space so there is no
isolation. The yellow could mean that the women are more intellectual to work in factory
jobs. Ethos could be used in the quote to persuade that the soldiers need more women.

This picture shows that gender should not use pronouns. The black color could mean
power. The vertical symmetry could mean aggressiveness to now use gender pronouns.

Part 2
The theme loneliness has the argument that no one should be alone, but at the
same time, it is okay to be alone at times. The real argument in the pictures is that people
spend too much time on things when they could be out with others. It also argues that you
should not be alone with people you do not know, like in the public service
announcement. The intended audience is for people who are alone because that is what
the pictures are directed to. The propaganda explains that people spent too much time
online and not time paying attention to the war. The advertisement means that it is okay
to be alone and that does not necessarily mean that someone is lonely. The public service
announcement shows that if you ride alone, you are with Hitler. The cultural/social
implications promote that it is sometimes okay to be alone. These pictures are effective in
promoting that loneliness is not that bad.
The theme death argues that people should not just want to die. The intended
argument is that there are other ways to cheat death and avoid the obstacles of that. The
intended audience is towards those who want to die, but there are ways to avoid feeling
that way. The advertisement ad says to cheat death and the drink will prolong that
feeling. The propaganda states that people fighting in the war should not stop fighting
until the Japanese are all dead. The advertisement represents a pomegranate drink that
prolongs death if someone drinks it. The public service announcement shows that people

could reduce the risk of their lives by not jumping out of airplanes and reducing tobacco
use. The cultural/social implications of these pictures could be used to subvert the power
of death in the advertisement ad. But the propaganda kind of promotes death by killing
the Japanese in the war. These pictures were effective, however they promote death,
which is not a good thing.
The theme classist was used in these pictures to argue that there is a social class
between the rich and the poor. The intended argument could be that the rich should just
get everything they want because they already have a lot. The intended audience could be
those who are against the wealthy class. The propaganda says that the rich should
automatically just receive more stuff since they already own everything. The
advertisement shows that McDonalds is a ranked higher fast food place than Burger
King and Jack in the Box. The public service announcement shows a man with a sign
saying that the rich should get taxed and not the needy. The cultural/social implications
could be saying that the classists should not just let the rich get away with everything.
They should just get taxes, since they are not struggling like some. These pictures are
effective in some way, but the advertisement is not something that everyone may agree
with.
The racial/gender argues that women can just do about anything men can do. The
intended argument may be that men think women are not capable of doing anything that
they can do. The intended audience could be towards women because the pictures have
women in them. The propaganda means that women can do anything. The advertisement
shows a woman working in a factory and it says that soldiers need their help. The public
service announcement shows that gender is just a use of pronouns. The cultural/social

implications could be that women can do anything. The public service announcement
promotes that pronouns are just implications of gender. I find that all the pictures are
effective because they represent that women can do anything and they use of pronouns is
something that is not necessary.
