It was a momentous occasion for DPSG to launch the project `Microsoft Classroom of the
Future on 26thNovember 2014. DPSG has been selected by Microsoft as a 2014-2015
Microsoft Showcase School for its excellence in transforming its environment to deliver more
personalized education to students, using mobile and cloud technology to prepare students for
success in workplace.
DPSG joins an exclusive community of over 150 premier schools from around the world, and
the only CBSE school in the country recognized to celebrate their truly pioneering efforts and
innovation in rethinking teaching, learning and assessment in order to drive deep 21st century
competencies.
The eminent dignitaries present for the inauguration were Mr. Arunagiri Kalidas, Solution
Specialist-Windows Devices Education, Mr OmPathak, Chairman, DPSG Society, Mr. Anshul
Pathak ,Treasurer, DPSG ,Mr. Rohit Pathak ,member DPSG , Mr. R.K .Sharma CAO ,DPSG
and Mr. Dharamendra Goyal, Principal, DPSG,Vasundhara.
Ms. Jyoti Gupta, Principal, Delhi Public School Ghaziabad said, Being selected as a Microsoft
Showcase School is an amazing honor and recognition of the passion our teachers and staff have
for creating the best learning environments possible. Highlighting the vision of the school, she
said We look forward to sharing our experiences with other schools in our community and the
world to continue finding innovative ways to equip our students with the proper tools needed for
success inside and outside the classroom. DPSG with its impeccable success records and IT
savvy faculty were the compelling reasons to be selected for this pilot project; said the dignified
representatives from the Microsoft.
Mr OmPathak, Chairman, DPSG Society thanked Microsoft for its commendable initiative in
leveraging technology for learning and said that 21stcentury classroom will be learning anytime ,
anywhere and education will have to reinvent itself. Schools should be good knowledge
managers and technology will be the biggest enabler to learn.
The demonstration of the 21st century classroom teaching was given by Ms Soma Singh(TGT
Science) and Garima Gupta, a student of classVII. Tablets were distributed to 39 students of
VIIIF, the privileged class chosen for this pilot project.
As a Showcase School, DPSG will work closely with Microsoft to lead innovation in education
and communicate a vision for education enabled by technology through the hosting and
mentoring of other schools in the community on transformational educational practices.
The programme concluded with a press conference and the Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms
Krishna Singh, Head Mistress, Secondary Wing.
