!The! Government! is! intent! on! building! new! infrastructure! in! Sydney! including!
massive!stadium!upgrades,!a!new!harbour!tunnel!and!light!rail!while!the!restofnsw!is!
hardly!assisted!with!funds!to!maintain!our!essential!roads.!The!Government!is!doing!
little! to! fix! the! infrastructure! backlog! in! the! restofnsw! while! it! goes! on! an!
infrastructure!binge!in!Sydney.!

restofnsw! believes! the! formulas! used! to! prioritise! projects! in! NSW! are! selectively!
applied!and!the!Government!is!setting!high!hurdles!for!funding!in!the!restofnsw!while!
requiring!no!cost!benefit!analysis!for!press!release!friendly!Sydney!projects.!
Many!of!the!projects!that!are!planned!for!Sydney,!including!stadium!upgrades,!have!
not!had!cost!benefit!analysis!conducted.!It!is!then!hypocritical!of!the!Government!to!
then!turn!around!and!say!project!XYZ!in!regional!NSW!must!meet!a!Benefit!Cost!Ratio!
(BCR)!of!plus!1.!
The! Government! are! acting! as! though! there! is! little! they! can! do! if! projects! dont!
meet! a! BCR! of! +1.! Well! if! that! is! the! case! why! not! assist! in! funding! the! already!
documented! infrastructure! backlog! in! the! restofnsw! or! expand! the! Resources! for!
Regions!scheme!to!all!mining!impacted!LGAs.!!
