Sometimes, filtering through some choices to find the hotel that suits a customer or a
travel companions requirements, can be a challenging task.Therefore, our team members have
tried to find the best hotels which show two distinct categories; luxury/deluxe category and first
class/superior category. We made our choice based on location, amenities, value, reviews,
andaccessibility; as a result Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Doubletree Hotel were our final options.
Our journey started with Ritz Carlton Hotel. Because is a luxury hotel we had made an
appointment with Lisa Mat who is the human resources generalist of Ritz-Carlton Toronto and she
took us around in the hotel and showed some facilities followed by great key information.
Unfortunately, due to the restricted rule, we couldn't take any picture in the hotel. However, Lisa
answered to our questions patiently.
Ritz-CarltonHotelis the most luxury hotel in Toronto. The main target market are business
and leisure travelers. It is located in the heart of downtown which is also the financial district area.
Contains the largest luxury Ballroom in Toronto with 7,400 square feet, divisible in four sections,
accommodating up to 600 guests.(The Ritz-Carlton Toronto 1).they also offer the high-speed WI-FI
,24-hour fitness center and Elegant conference rooms for business travel and corporate meetings.
Furthermore, Shipping and receiving services is available all the time. Thats why this hotel has
been named one of the 2013 best hotels in Canada by U.S. News & World Report. (The RitzCarlton Toronto 1)
For the leisure travelers , Ritz-Carlton Toronto could satisfied them as surrounded by citys
performing arts,rogers center ,CN tower and Ripleys aquarium. The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto hotel
features 263 luxurious Guest Rooms, including 56 One-Bedroom Corner Suites, four Simcoe Suites,
two Wellington Suites one Ritz-Carlton Suite. All Guest rooms are a minimum of 450 square feet
and are one of the largest luxury hotel rooms in Toronto. (The Ritz-Carlton Toronto 1)The RitzCarlton Club Level offers throughout the day including breakfast, light snacks, hors d' oeuvres,
alcoholic beverages and sweets. There are more options in TOCA Restaurant, Ritz Bar and DEQ
Terrace &Lounge. This hotel owns the world-second Spa My Blend by Clarions& Wellness Center.

The Ritz-Carlton Rewards is the loyalty program of this hotel. The whole program market
Ritz-Carlton Toronto to the customers properly and steadily. Besides, it cooperates with airline
companies and financial institutes to share their high-level customer resource.
This five diamond stars hotel is almost perfect, not only the facilities but also the services.
They believe that ladies and gentlemen serve ladies and gentlemen. However our advice is that
maybe they should put more attention to the new market and new generation. Acting more
flexible and creative.
Our second option is Doubletree Hotel; where we had a very good experience. Fortunately,
the time when we went it was not that busy; as a result Christine a professional receptionist gave
us a tour through the hotel.
Doubletree hotel is a first class hotelsituated in the heart of the city and provides access to
the city's business and entertainment districts. The main type of guest varies on days; forinstance,
during the weekend the most frequent type of guest are families and tourists while during the
week days they have government employee and other categories.
Doubletree hotel has business facilities that cater to different corporate events. Hotel
rooms are equipped with stylish amenities including air-conditioning, bathroom, television, Wi-Fi,
and telephone.Furthermore, inside the hotel customers can find one of the finest Chinese
restaurant from Ontario; we know this information from our guide Christine who proudly shared
many key facts with us. They also have a great selection for Italianand Gingko Japanese food. All
very good, but quite expensive. However, we can tell that this restaurant is an attraction for
majority of customers. Active customers can work out in the complimentary 24-hour fitness
center, or swim in the heated indoor pool and relax in the sauna. This hotel it is a perfect choice
for business travelers because is within walking distance to major corporations and business

including the US Consulate, Diplomatic and Government offices, major banking and legal
institutions and scientific research centers.(At a Glance)

Moreover, leisure guests can enjoy easy access to the city center and hotel events
packages for Toronto attractions including The CN Tower, the Hockey Hall of Fame, Royal Ontario
Museum and Ripley's Aquarium. The CN Tower, Art Gallery of Ontario, Opera House and Eaton
Shopping Centre.

The most important service that matches with the type of hotel guests isthat they provide
excellent service for busyness events; some of their facilities are: Audio/Visual Equipment,
Business Phone Service, ExpressMail, and VideoConferencing. The second service given is a special
menu that parents can request at the Restaurant which is called Children'sSpecialties Menu. It is
very good for parents, they do need to be worry about what their children eat. As we know usually
children have to eat a little bit different compared withan adult.The third service is Multi-Lingual
services. It is requirement for employees. Doubletree Hotel has variety of visitors from different
part of the world, so they want to make their work better and make customers feel comfortable
plus by talking their language sometimes can give the best impression ever. However, all the
employees are well educated and they know how to promote their services professional. As we
entered in hotel they encountered us with a happy face and in front of desk was written Enjoy
the modern comforts and warm hospitality at Doubletree by Hilton therefore what was written
they were actually practicing as well which is attractive.Practically, we have never seen before
advertising about this hotel in Toronto. Hence, we think that they have a pleasant location,
excellent service, and a lot of different options for their customers, so if they will start to do some
billboards or advertisement on TV, newspaper, magazines ( also foreign) promote hotel in
different travel agency through all the world, they would attract a lot of people. Also by making a
new design at the entrance of hotel could attract much more customers; because it is a little bit

old and no matter how professional are the employee;the first impression as you enter in the
hotel counts significant.

In conclusion, with a truly passion in hotel business, we considerateourselves being lucky to go

in this trip. First of all we overlooked the official website before we visited these hotels and
created some constructive questions. During the visiting we paid attention to the details and
atmosphere and that lead to a great set of knowledge. It was interesting to see how much does
the uniform counts; as soon as they saw our uniform they took us seriously and described a lot.
Honestly, we do not want to work in these kinds of hotels because there are maybe too fancy for
us and lack of creativity. We would rather work for other hotels that involves more activities.
