The world language teacher will teach the students the content of what to look
for in the poem when it comes to the literary devices and how to analyze
them. As the LMS, I will be instructing students where to find the Latin poetry
as well as how to use Google Docs.

You are a Latin scholar who must compare and contrast the literary
devices within two Latin poems.

Locate the Latin Library which is located online
(www.thelatinlibrary.com) and select 2 poets that you would like to
compare
Copy and paste each of the poems into 2 different Google Docs
Using a color coded system, you are to categorize each of the literary
devices that each of the poets use
o examples:
alliteration = red
anaphora = green
connotation = purple
litotes = blue
paradox = gray
tmesis = pink
Using Google Presentation, make a side by side comparison chart of the
2 poems comparing the following (include side by side picture of color
coded poem):
o meter of the poems
o literary devices used to express purpose
o main them about the poem and what is suggests about author
