Cut out your self-portrait

Use an Xacto blade to cut AWAY from your hands & body.
Cut on a CUTTING MAT! Please DO NOT cut on the table or your
sketchbook.
Cut as close to the edge as you can.

Add symbols to the background

Trace the OUTLINE of your self-portrait


Select a MINIMUM of THREE symbols for your background.
Think about your COMPOSITION, how are all of your symbols
arranged around your portrait? Are they separate free-floating
objects?
Use WATERCOLOR to paint your background & symbols.
