Lists and uses adjectives in sentences to express an opinion in and out of the class when
describing and object.
RATIONALE
Adjectives are important for people. We use adjectives all the time to describe, identify and quantify
different objects that are around us. It is important to make Ss. Use them in a correct form so they can
communicate in a correct form with others.

Nouns, pronouns, adjectives, comparative and superlative adjectives, adverbs


INSTRUCTIONAL PROCEDURES
a.

Warm-up Brain storming in groups: present a group of flash cards with different objects on it. Make
Ss. write as much words to describe the object as possible. The group that got more words wins.
b. Teaching procedures
Presentation: using the words from the warm up T. presents the adjectives as words that help to
describe and object and the order in which Ss. Should use them.
Controlled practice: Ss. complete sentences using different adjectives depending on the noun.
Semi controlled practice: Unscramble words including adjectives to create a sentence.
Free practice: using different adjectives Ss. Are going to describe 3 objects that are around them.
Writing complete sentences.
c. Closure: some Ss. read aloud the sentences they made to describe an object and make his or her
classmates to guess.
d. Feedback: Ss.repeat the grammatical structure to use adjectives in a sentence to describe an object
using an example.
e. Student Participation: Ss. create different sentences to describe different objects around them.
f. Homework: cut and paste 5 pictures and describe it using different adjectives in complete sentences
