A Look Forward - TPE: F

Listed below are the artifacts I included for TPE Domain 6. Each artifact
includes a projected date to be completed, a rationale for why it was chosen, and
how it will move me closer to my professional goals. Ultimately, all the artifacts
included in this section bring me closer to my end goal of becoming a well-rounded
teacher who uses his skills to reach a variety of learners.

Artifact #1 Complete first year BTSA California Teacher Induction Program 2015
Completing my first year of BTSA will help me to become well rounded and reach a
diverse student body. The reflections required with the BTSA program enable me to
evaluate my teaching and talk with my site provider to improve as I begin my
teaching career. It also provides specific trainings to instill good professional
strategies that will help me avoid potential mistakes in the future.

Artifact #2 Finish Educational Technology Masters Degree 2015

Finishing my masters degree in educational technology will provide me with a
foundation to utilize technology in the classroom effectively. This degree will also
enable me to explore more diverse teaching opportunities in the future such as
adjunct teaching at local colleges.

Artifact #3 Complete second year BTSA California Teacher Induction Program

2016

Continuing my work through my second year of the BTSA program will provide me
with a refined skill set that will enhance my classroom management and curriculum
delivery. This stage of the program will allow me to create a portfolio of my
cumulative work as a resource for the remainder of my career.

Artifact #4 Begin teaching adjunct college courses in Communication and

Educational Technology 2017
By 2017 I hope to begin teaching college courses once or twice a week in the
evenings to diversify my teaching experience. Before teaching fifth grade I was an
adjunct communication instructor at Fresno City College. In 2017 I hope to again
teach some Communication courses while also teaching some courses in education
at Fresno Pacific University. These teaching experiences will add depth to my
personal portfolio and provide a great experience teaching older students.

Artifact #5 Complete my Google Trainer Certification 2017

Becoming a Google Certified Trainer will provide me with relevant knowledge that I
will be able to use with my students and district. I will be able to be a more effective
educator in the classroom when my students work on their Chromebooks. In the
District, I will be able to contribute to my fellow teachers by providing professional
development trainings and workshops.

Artifact #6 Complete Kingsburg Elementary District SIOP Training and

Professional Development Workshops 2018

SIOP training is provided to staff in Kingsburg Elementary District as a way of

providing teachers with valuable strategies and tools to become more effective in
the classroom. These strategies will help me to better reach all of my students no
matter what level or background they come from.
