Strategy # __11__

KWL
Brief Description (in your own words):
A KWL is a strategy where the teacher can have the students learn a topic. They
do this by asking the students what they know about a topic (K). Then after the K
part, the teacher asks the students what they want to know (W). The last part of the
strategy is the L part, which is what theyve learned. It is a classic strategy to help
students for all ages and achievement levels.

How you plan to use this strategy in your Practicum, Internship, Student
Teaching, or in your own classroom:
I would use this in my teaching practice to help get a better understanding of what
the students know about the sports. I can use this as a pre-assessment and to
develop my lessons so that all of the students get all of the information they can.
This can be a great way for the students to really use their prior knowledge and
develop knowledge.
