The Effects of a Marble in Different Angles.

I.

Purpose and/or Hypothesis

The purpose of this investigation is to figure the effects of the
marble in different angles. My hypothesis is that on angle 35 the marble
would shoot the farthest because that angle is both high and straight. So
while the marbles is shooting up it will also move to the side.

Procedure

The first step is to gather all your materials and go to a place with good
balance. Next you set up your launcher and put the marble inside the
launcher. Later decide the first angle you are going to shoot at. Now when
you shoot the the marble make sure to measure the distance the marble stop
at ,then shoot the marble again to check your first result. You should record
the data when you have found the two distances. Redo all the steps in
different angles. When you're done with all the angles and steps figure out
which angle made the marble shoot farther. When you have recorded the
largest distance put it into the chart.

Analysis and Conclusion

The purpose of this investigation is to figure the effects of the marble in

different angles. My hypothesis is that on angle 35 the marble would shoot
the farthest because that angle is both high and straight. So while the
marbles is shooting up it will also move to the side. I can see that in my
graph at angle 15-55 the distance started increasing then the distance started
decreasing from 60-80. My hypothesis was refuted because I said that at
angle 35 degrees it would be the largest distance but it was actually at 55
degrees. This is because at angle 35 its distance was 687 cm and at 55

degrees it was 741 cm. The greatest distance was at 55 degrees which was at
the distance 741 cm. We were put in a bumpy place which could have
thrown our data off. Our launcher was also very hard on the trigger. Some
way that our data can be improve is that we could do more than one trial so
that our data could be more accurate. Some other variables we could have
investigated are what type of launcher would throw the marbles faster
because probably the launcher did not throw the marble that far so another
launcher can throw it farther.
