Fire Safety Director
Sample Questions 1-100

Print this page FSD Home Page
These questions and answers were designed to help your understanding of the material
presented to you during the course. They're in no particular order, and cover almost
everything in the course (except choosing members of the fire brigade; I couldn't
compose good questions for that area.) A high mark on this exam would tend to indicate
that you'll receive a correspondingly high mark on the FDNY exam (although that can't be
guaranteed.) Take your time, and make note of which areas you get wrong, and study. I
hope these practice questions help you to pass the real test.
Print out this page which has all 100 questions, take the exam by checking the boxes ( )
for each answer you think is correct. That way you'll have a record of your answers and
know what areas need study.

For best results, take this practice exam under conditions similar to those in the genuine
exam:
Dress for the exam (change out of your bathrobe and slippers into proper attire)
Sit on a chair at a table (sofas not allowed)
Eliminate the background noise and distractions (no radio, TV, phone calls, spouses
or kids)
Use the restroom before starting (don't get up after you begin the exam)
No eating or drinking (put away the soda, munchies and butts)
Take as much time as you need, and don't stop until you've completed the exam to
the best of your ability.
Be sure to answer all questions, since "no answer" is automatically wrong!

After you've completed this exam, print the answer page and score yourself. Good luck!
