Strategy Name Strategy # ___8____

Think-Alouds

Brief Description (in your own words):

Think-Alouds is a strategy where the teacher reads the passage out loud, stopping
periodically to see students processing the ideas. The students try to make
connections and share these comments as well as write things down.

How you plan to use this strategy in your Practicum, Internship, Student
Teaching, or in your own classroom:

I plan on using this during a lesson when we are learning about a new skill. I
would want to read them something about the skill and have the students visualize
what I am talking about and have them make connections to other skills that might
be similar.
