Critical Thinking/ Reflection

At the beginning of the semester I went with the behavior plan my cooperating
teacher already had implemented. I have been very pleased with the results and my
classrooms overall behavior. Students have been responsible for their actions and
often pointing out their own mistakes. It was very apparent how successful my
classroom rules were when my students remained silent during several fire and
evacuation drills. This plan has also been successful because the students speaking
and listening grade reflects their grade. I would add that I would give students a
biweekly progress report for the speaking and listening grade. I think the reflection of
their consequences in the grade would have a profound affect on each students
behavior. Overall , I am very happy with the behavior management and how it has
affected my classroom. Little time is wasted due to behavior issues.
